You raise money when you ask for it correctly, face-to-face, from the people who have it, in the shortest period of time, at the most reasonable cost possible. Anything we do which deviates from this will cause costs to rise and net income to drop.
We have learned during our 60-plus collective years’ experience in the business of raising money the following fundraising axioms are true:
“People give serious money to people, not to causes or projects.”
and
“The more you give, the more you raise.”
No matter how compelling or seemingly unimportant, if we can enlist the support of volunteer leaders with influence, affluence, outreach, credibility, respect and business expertise, you can succeed beyond your expectations.
